Located approximately 225 km north of Tokyo, Aoki Shuzo is situated in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, a region known for its heavy snowfall and distinct seasonal changes. Niigata is home to the highest number of sake breweries in Japan and boasts one of the country's largest sake consumption rates. It is also renowned for producing Japan’s top brand rice, Minamiuonuma Koshihikari. Since its founding in 1717, Aoki Shuzo has never ceased its sake brewing tradition. The brewery offers a diverse lineup, ranging from Niigata’s signature light, dry sake to well-balanced varieties that highlight the natural umami of rice.
